Busy last 2 Quarters on the modeling front. Since my last note I have built a variety of start-up client models (financial, m&a, and cash control) in the PPV music market, the digital art business, the organic fertilizer market, cloud infrastructure services, and collocation businesses. Models generally take 3-10 weeks to first percolate, although the actual hours of construction are far less. Quality of data is the largest source of any delay.

We started off strong with inside running. We chewed up the 1st quarter and were on the 6 yard line with 1 and Goal. QB sneak was the call and the Cardinals score.

Defense held strong for the first possession until at 4th and 15 and they throw a bomb to tie the score.

We drive on our second possession with more strong running. Then all of the sudden with team running out West Boca strips the ball and scores a 60 yard touchdown.

By half time we had 10 players and we continued to play until the 4th quarter when our 3 third player went down and we had to forfeit the game.

Tough lost but many positives came out of the game. Our kids showed grit, determination and heart. They were out manned and fought till the end.

One more game to secure second seeding and then its' playoff time. Hopefully we can get enough players to practice.

One player down due to a broken arm and another moved down to a smaller division.

As a coach you have to learn how to juggle a lineup and give all kids playing time. It's not so difficult when you only have 15 players but the challenge is practice and live simulations.

We lost the our first game due to poor angle tackling and not staying at home on sweep plays. We played the best team in West Boca and had them down at half time and only allowed 2 touchdowns in the game.

Offensively, the line did not push and have not been aggressive. Overall for our first game I would give our team a B-.

Second game was a defensive marathon. We improved by staying home on the sweeps but got ran over up the middle. Our defensive line never got in the back field and our linebackers were taking a beating. Half time score 0-2 and we had the ball for 5 offensive plays and got sacked in the end zone.

The second half never got better even after a 30 yd kickoff return. On offense the lineman were so tired they could not get a block or remember the play. Running backs didn't hit the holes and receivers never got open. Needless to say we lost 0-9 with limited offensive yardage but with superb defense.

For Cardinals to win...our offense needs to block, execute plays and have the desire to play hard for 40 minutes.

Our next game is against the Dolphins, the number one team in the league and division. Practice has been nothing but drive blocking and King of the Hill.

I have simplified the playbook and hopefully they will have a good game. We also got a new player, 8 yrs old - 100lbs - soccer player - friends with my son. Should be a good addition.

Great question I received today:
I know that the old style incandescent bulbs are being phased out. Does that mean that they will stop selling them completely at some date and, if yes, do you know when?

Only 100-watt incandescent bulbs will be cleared off of store shelves in 2012 (If these bulbs remain unsold, they can remain on shelves but retailers will not be able to restock/re-order these types of bulbs.) Then in 2013, the phase-out will apply to 75-watt incandescent bulbs and finally in 2014, the 40-watt and 60-watt incandescent bulbs will phased out.

Time to hang up the surf board for a while as football season begins. Hopefully when we get some waves I have an opportunity to catch them.

Issac just blew by and there was some surf in S. Florida. Not big and very white wash plus with coaching 3 days a week, I decided not to go out and injure myself.

Waves are usually better in the winter months when we have fronts coming through.

Another amazing week of surf for south Florida. Hurricane Debbie sat around for a few days and created swells coming from the southeast. Most days were 2-3 feet with clean water. Late in the week the swells changed direction coming from the northeast.

Ocean water and the sun have amazing affects for healing minor cuts, bug bites or skin rashes. Just a few hours and everything is just like new.

I have been without internet, and I have had to go to McDonalds to get on!

So, as a celebration of going to the library for seven hours Sunday, I am going to release E2 -Episode 2 - Waste(first draft) Monday. Please Check it out! I will also release another DBC.

I have a Bucket List of things I would do with one million dollars.

First: obviously pay off our home and all of our bills.

Second: Pay off my mother's house and either put an addition on our house with apt for her or find her her own apt near us. Then I would give her house to a family in need.

Third: Hire a full time and a part time employee at my store which would create 2 jobs and would allow me to free up some of my time to grow my business and be able to volunteer at a few places that I would like to help out.

Fourth: I would buy a dozen or so used cars from a local small town used car dealer and give them to families that could use a car. Especially the families that struggle with owning one car. That second car could allow them more freedom to possibly let someone else in that house get a job they otherwise couldn't get because of lack of transportation.
I also know some people that don't even have a car- which would give them the freedom to find a better job and more opportunities.

i'm currently a laundry supervisor for medical equipment, i have my c.o.s.h.h. and infection control, i have been working for the same company for fifteen and a half years starting as a production operative of the medical equipment, the pumps are electric so i'm electrical trained from building to testing with flow rigs, clare testers, dialetric testers, psion ad pc for saving results of all tests, i also have my pat testing and n.v.q, i also build mattresses which help to prevent bed sores, this involved cell welding, grommet welding, building of mattresses with machines, test and check, if not working correctly repair, so i do fault finding also, i do all relevant paperwork, ordering, house keeping, i have good relationship with my staff, i am a quick learner, honest, reliable, easy to get along with, can work on my own and as part of a team, always keen to learn new jobs
